Ars Technicamos The first marijuana-based cannabis-infused products, according to a report from the Coloradoan newspaper, could cost up to $500 per gram.
The Coloradoan, citing anonymous industry sources, reports that a commercial cannabis company is currently seeking to expand to more locations, though it is unclear how many such firms are currently operational.
In a press release, the Colorado State Board of Health said that “more information is needed on the market for the products.”
The company, Cannatonic, is in the process of getting a cultivation license and is seeking to set up a dispensary in the state.
A Cannatronic spokeswoman said the company has no immediate plans to open a dispensary.
A spokesperson for the Colorado Board of Regents told Ars that they are “actively working with the industry and its stakeholders” to get information on “potential licensing requirements” for cannabis products.
